#8557: Alerts/Reminders - Ability to Send to Supervisor Position (Part 1)ΒΆ

New Service Desk Issue(s): ION-871, ION-1047

Within the Position Allocation Details tab, there are 2 fields that previously had no inbuilt functionality behind them, labelled 'Supervisor Unit' and 'Supervisor Position'. We have made improvements to the systems alerting capabilities by utilising these fields to serve a beneficial purpose.

For any position that is ticked as the Unit Manager Unit Manager.jpg the system can now refer to that positions Supervisor Unit and Position and enable you to send alerts to this Supervisory position. Looking at the example above, we have Facility 2 Unit Manager, who will be alerted should a record be submitted within the Site/Service of Facility 2. We can also set the system to send an alert to the Regional Manager - Residential position within the Residential Care - New South Wales unit.

Some great examples of when this could be used would be:
1) if a managerial position in a 'parent' Site/Service would like the same alert as the Unit Manager of the child unit (same as above example, or Hospitality Manager wants alerts for any record that is submitted in Cleaning, Catering and/or Laundry service area)
2) If you have 2 positions within the one Site/Service that would like the Unit Manager alert.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE
  • Any/all staff allocated to the selected Supervisor Unit/Supervisor Position will be sent the alert/s.
  • The Site/Service of the record submitted does not need to match the Supervisor Unit for this function to work.
  •  If the Position which has the Supervisory details entered is NOT the Unit Manager, alerts will not be triggered.
  • This is a large piece of work, so we will be releasing 8 in the series. This is the first ticket of the series.
  • This ticket is for the Incident, Infection, Hazard, Risk, Continuous Improvement and Feedback modules, with the following alert templates now allowing you to send to the Supervisor Position:
    • On Accident/Incident Created
    • On Accident/Incident Created Remote
    • On Accident/Incident Followup
    • On Accident/Incident Is High Priority
    • On Infection Control Created
    • On Infection Control Created Remote
    • On Hazard Created
    • On Hazard Created Remote
    • On Hazard Is Serious
    • On Risk Assessment Created
    • On Risk Assessment Created Remote
    • On Risk Assessment Control Created
    • On Risk Assessment Control Expired
    • On Risk Assessment Control Review
    • On Suggestion Created
    • On Suggestion Created Remote
    • On Suggestion Follow Up
    • On Suggestion Review
